Overview

Tropic connects market views with asset portfolios. You can launch your own Belief, buy another author’s Belief assets, or enter a Battle with a Belief.

Term	Meaning
Belief	A published view and its asset portfolio.
Belief assets	Your share of a Belief’s portfolio, held as the actual tokens.
Battle	A contest between two camps that compares portfolio returns and moves cash according to the result.
Fork	A new Belief written on top of another one, with its own portfolio.
Cash	The USDG in your funding account.

Three rules apply everywhere:

• Belief assets and Battle capital are separate. A Battle loss affects only the cash you put into that Battle and never touches your Belief assets.
• You sign every movement of your funds. Every purchase, sale, Battle entry and withdrawal opens a review for you to check first.
• Everything settles in USDG on Robinhood Chain. Portfolios can also hold assets on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana.
