- Select Analyze. Tropic’s AI suggests a portfolio of up to 12 assets, with a research summary and its sources.
- Edit the suggestion, or build your own portfolio of up to 64 supported assets. Weights add up to 100%.
- Select Launch and purchase to buy at least $50 of the Belief’s assets. Fees are extra.
The Belief becomes public once the first purchase completes. If its assets are on several chains, every chain’s part has to complete first.
What is fixed at launch
Section titled “What is fixed at launch”Once a Belief is launched, you cannot edit or delete its title, text or portfolio.
The first purchase fixes the ratio between the quantities of the portfolio’s assets. Each later purchase uses that ratio: it sizes the quantities to buy by each asset’s share of the portfolio’s value at current reference prices. Those value shares move with prices, and the app shows them as the Allocation.
Belief assets are tokens bought onchain and held spot, with no borrowing or leverage. Authors hold and sell their own Belief assets under the same rules as everyone else.
Choose Fork in a Belief’s Repost menu to create a new Belief based on that Belief or on one of its replies, with the original shown inside it. A fork needs its own portfolio and the first purchase that launches it; it does not copy the original’s portfolio. The Belief or reply a fork is based on cannot be changed later.
Tropic pays authors their share out of the purchase fees it has collected. The split starts at the Belief being bought and goes up its fork sources in order. It skips Beliefs written by the buyer, takes at most 4 Beliefs, and pays their authors. Forking never raises the purchase fee (see Fees).
Assets you can use
Section titled “Assets you can use”A portfolio can hold supported tokens on Robinhood Chain, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana, including tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain. The asset search shows which tokens are supported and which chain each is on.
Some tokens’ contracts take a tax when they are bought or sold. A Belief’s portfolio and the order review mark these tokens with a percent badge; its tip gives the purchase and sale rates separately.
