Revenue and referrals

Portfolio → Revenue shows your author revenue, referral rewards and their history.

Author revenue

When someone else’s purchase completes, Tropic pays the authors’ share out of the purchase fee it collected, straight into the author’s funding account. A cancelled purchase pays no share, and you earn nothing from your own purchases.

• Follow fees: your share when others buy the assets of a Belief you launched.
• Fork shares: your share when others buy a fork built directly or indirectly on your Belief.

Referral rewards

On the Revenue page, select Referral link; when you have a reward to claim, the button reads Claim. The dialog lets you get and copy your referral link.

A friend is linked to you only if they open Tropic through your link and sign in before their first successful purchase or Battle entry. The first valid link to be linked counts and cannot be changed later. You cannot refer yourself, and rewards come only from friends you referred directly.

20% of the revenue Tropic earns from friends you referred becomes your referral reward.

Network fees and round fees do not count toward rewards. Tropic pays rewards out of its own revenue; your friends pay nothing extra.

When you have a reward to claim, the Revenue page shows Claim. Confirm in the dialog and the reward goes to your funding account.
